Finishing

Garments finishing is an important section in our garments sector. It’s the last section of our garment production and all mistakes made during the process accrue and become a huge problem at this stage. The Quality Departments also have huge improvement potential and require special attention at this stage. In this department there are several processes are involved in making a garment output with perfect finishing. The process is followed as below.

We are all well equipped with modern methods of ironing. We use adjustable flat horizontal tables and modern steam pressing boxes of ironing garments. Vacuum sucking machines are used to take away the excess moisture in the garment due to Steam Ironing. By this technology, we easily remove wrinkles and give perfect shape to the garment. We have usually done the heating to a temperature of 180–220 °Celsius, This may vary depending upon the fabric or garments.

We have done several methods for ironing and folding the garment that also differ from client to client.

Folding - This method is usually followed for both knits ad woven garment, After completing pressing, the garments are folded with a predetermined area. Garments are folded according to the buyer’s direction, requirements in a standard area.

Standup - Collar is folded and situated at 90 degree angle.
Semistandup - Collar is folded with body and situated at 45 degree angle.

IRONING

Ironing is the most important process which invoves to remove wrinkles from fabric by Heating. Ironing works by loosening the bonds between the long-chain polymer molecules in the fibers of the material. While the molecules are hot, the fibers are straightened by the weight of the iron, and they hold their new shape as they cool. Some fabrics, such as cotton, require the addition of water to loosen the intermolecular bonds. Many modern fabrics are advertised as needing little or no ironing. Permanent press clothing was developed to reduce the ironing necessary by combining wrinkle-resistant polyester with cotton.
